Itinerary

Day 01 Paro / Thimu drive

Fly to Bhutan to experience great Himalayas - the world's highest glacial peaks. Our airport representative will meet you at Paro and drive to Thimpu by road. The distance between Thimpu and Paro is around 55 Kms which will take you around 1.5 hours. You visit Simtokha Dzong en-route, the oldest fortress of the Kingdom which now houses the School for religious and cultural studies. Today also visit National Memorial Chorten. Overnight at hotel

Day 02 Thimpu

Post breakfast, we take you through the astonishing Thimpu city tour. Some of the important highlights of the day wukk Late King’s Memorial Chorten, the National Library handmade paper factory, the nunnery at Zilukha, tour of the school of fine, Zangtopelri Lhakhang, the Handicraft Emporium and the local handicraft centers to see the varieties of textiles, thangkha paintings, masks, jewelry etc. Overnight at hotel

Day 03 Thimpu – Punakha 2 -3 Hrs

After breakfast ,we take you to Punakha ( around 3 hrs drive from Thimpu), the old winter capital. If you are lucky enough, you will see panoramic views of the eastern Himalaya, including Bhutan's highest mountain, Gangkar Punsum

Today, you will also cover the popular monk’s temple Chimi Lhakhan. Don’t forget to visit a tree outside the temple which is known to come up after Drukpa Kunley sent a thunderbolt from an adjoining valley to kill some evil spirits who had gathered at the site. Also visit the courtyard of Punakha Dzong . Overnight in Punakha.

Day 04 Punakha – Paro 3 -4 Hrs.

Post lavish breakfast drive back to Paro VIA Thimpu. In afternoon, take a city tour of Paro covering Ta Dzong (Sun, Mon Govt holiday closed), Ta Dzong –the Bhutan's National Museum. Overnight at hotel

Day 05 Paro

After breakfast, put on your trekking shoes and leave for the day excursion to Tiger's Nest - one of the most wonderful sites. You may a take a pony ride half way or just keep walking slowly to enjoy the trek.

Day 06 Paro- Departure Flight

After breakfast in time transfer to Paro Airport to connect departure flight.
